This tutorial covers the following Saturns, possibly third-gen's too...
1996-00 SL/SL1/SL2
1997-00 SC/SC1/SC2
1996-00 SW/SW1/SW2?

Rear speaker installation:
1) Remove "Christmas tree" clips from the rear deck. Should be two on each side next to the retention brackets that hold the rear seats in the upwards position, you'll need to lower the seatbacks to access these. The others on top are more visible and easily accessible.
2)Once all the retention clips are out, carefully bend the cardboard'ish material around the seat-back brackets.
3)Then carefully crease the entire deck cover in the center, just enough to slide one side out from underneath the "C" pillar's trim panels. After that, simply pull it out and set it somewhere safe where it won't get dirty or bent.
4) You'll need a Torx T-15 bit and an appropriate driver to release the retainers that hold the speakers in.
5) After unscrewing the Torx screws and pulling out the plastic retainers, pull the speaker out of the hole.
6) Cut the speaker wires approximately 2" away from where the wire disappears into the speaker harness. This slack will allow you to re-connect the stock speakers, you never know when you may want to transfer your good speakers to some other vehicle.
7) Connect the speakers to the stock wiring (if you're using the deck to power the speakers). You'll most likely need two female disconnect terminals (one fat, one skinny). The red ones are the size you'll need, since you're dealing with wire gauges in the 20-24 AWG range. It may be necessary to strip the wire extra long, then fold it over on itself to promote a good crimp.
8 ) Put the new speakers in the holes, and screw them down just as you pulled the old ones out.
9) Reinstall the deck cover the same way you pulled it out, just reverse the steps.

Front Speaker Installation:
1) Pop off the plastic cover where the mirror joins the door (might be tough to get off, just pull hard with your hands, it pulls straight out), unscrew the #2 Phillips screw.
2) Take the two screws out of the door handle (Phillips #2).
3) Pop off the window crank (if not equipped with power windows).
4) Check the underside of the door panel for screws, unscrew those (Phillips #2).
5) Unscrew the #2 Phillips out of the pull-lever/door lock holder.
6) Push the lever/lock holder towards the front of the door (imagine the door closed, you'd be pushing the holder towards the front of the car).
After pushing it forward, it should pull out a slight bit.
7) Undo the handle and lock latches, then pop out the metal rods out.
8 ) The whole panel assembly will lift upwards and pull off.
9) Unscrew the Torx T-15 screws from the holders the same way I explained for the rear speakers.

Left Front: (+) Tan, (-) Gray
Right Front: (+) Light Green, (-) Dark Green
Left Rear: (+) Brown, (-) Yellow
Right Rear: (+) Dark Blue, (-) Light Blue

To remove the stock head unit in a second-gen (1996-2000) S-series Saturn...

1) There are two little retainers on each side of the center dash cover (the black thing who's top [traction control/rear defroster/fog light switches included] is underneath the center air vents, and who's bottom is underneath the HVAC controls). Push the center of these inwards (try not to lose them, but don't get mad if you do). Once the center pin is pushed far enough, the little retainer can be removed quite easily.
2) Pull the cover off, it's pretty easy.
3) Now you'll be able to see that the stock radio is held in with like... Four screws/bolts or so. They'll most likely be 8mm, but possibly 7mm.
4) Read the instructions on whatever dash kit you purchase (you will need one to install an aftermarket radio). Follow these instructions on how to install the radio.

Hehe, sorry first-gen'ers! The rear deck should be the same. As for the door panels... The screws might be in different places, if anything is different. Otherwise, I've heard that you only need to remove the speaker grille to access the speakers on the 91-95's.

the two bolts on the stock dash kit that are right under the air vents and once u loosen those it pulls right off
