I have a 95 SL and I followed the directions to remove the door panel and install the speaker but when it comes to these rods and the fasteners, it really seems impossible to put the panel back on. Right now my passenger side door is out of order so quick help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Rods and fasteners? You're going to have to elaborate...

If you're referring to the rods that connect the lock/handle to the actual mechanisms... They can be tough to get at, but lots of patience and nimble fingers help get the job done.

Default 97 SW2 speakers

I recently acquired a 1997 Saturn SW2 from NY and drove it to BC, and I was mildely impressed with it's performance.
I'm planning on upgrading the stereo system's speakers etc.., having already replaced the stock deck, a process that took only minutes, with the kit I pre-wired.
I've noted the information on this thread(not knowing how old it is), and I'll try to keep you informed as to my progress.
From what I gather, I will be able to install a set of Morel loudspeakers in the factory locations, and imbed a set of tweeters in the doors. As for subwoofers I plan on using 2-8's, and am unsure of the design.

they're a PITA

I've taken off about 5 door panels in total and it does get easier, but it's partly luck if everything falls into place correctly
