|  help with audio whistling
So my speakers now make a high pitched whistling sound, all of them.
This sound varies with engine RPM, but not headunit volume. It is easily heard and quite annoying.
I did speakers and the headunit myself, so I messed it up, I just dont know what i messed up

did you put in an amp when you did the speakers?? sometimes if you run your RCAs on the same side as the power wire the sound will transfer into the RCAs and cause your speakers to make a noise. i always run power down the driver side and audio down the passanger side... if you dont have your speakers on an amp then i am just rambeling....

did you run new speaker wire and also what the person on top of me said did you add an amp/ have one. | |

Im using the stock speaker wire
The amp's power wire is ran under the car, and the amp is just for the subs

um..no
i just removed the HU today and checked all the connections and they're all soldered well w/ electrical tape over it, and the harnesses are snapped in securely
also today i went for a drive and i swear i didnt hear it at first, and then it started after a couple minutes
edit-on another forum i was told to unplug my sub amps rcas and see if they go away, if so i need to sand down my ground for the amp to bare steel, or use thicker wire

are you using quality Rca's for it. and one last thing was your head unit on? | |

ugh it was the rca cables. i unhooked the power to the amp thinking that would eliminate any amp influence, and the noise got worse
I took apart my HU like 3 times, and grounded it to the chassis, still there
unplugged the rca cables and it went away, ugh! lol

do have any extra/old rca lying around just to make sure that it is infact the rca. and fyi so far i am 10 out of 10 so far in diagioness things right so far. | |
