Default Radio problems

Okay, in September 2004, I was front-ended. A tourist was driving a 15-passenger van, didn't look back before he threw said van into reverse and backed OVER the hood of my SL2.

I finally got all the repairs completed a year ago. (money being tight with a newborn, my car ran, just didn't look nice anymore) IT's a long story...I won't bore you with details.

Cut to the chase, my radio hasn't worked since that day. I would LOVE to find out what's wrong with it BEFORE taking it to the dealer or anywhere else. I *think* it might be wiring. Only the clock and radio don't work. The fans and all other instrument panels work correctly. I tried replacing the fuse, but that didn't help.

I have a two year old son who really lets me know how much he HATES riding in my car since it doesn't have a working radio. I'm tempted to get the poor kid an iPod. It's a daily drive home.

Advice?

So sorry about your satty!

I would take the radio out and use a volt meter to check for power. If there is none, i would double check your fuse box in the engine bay. See if theres power with the key in the RUN and ACC modes.
