Default Simple or no

I have Sirius at home and I know some new stereos for cars come with that or the other one X something. Is this something that can just be added into your stereo or do you need to replace it? I'm thinking if I can get one that does both the only music stations and CD changer in one...........that might be what works best. I cant live w/o my music.

If you have a portable sirius unit it is very easy to install it in your car. You will need to purchase a car kit and I would suggest buying the FM direct adapter.

After you make those purchases all you need to do is hook it up.

Mount the external antenna wherever you want it *I usually mount them centered over the windshield. Run the wire in the weather striping on top of the windshield and also underneath the stripping on the door.

If you plan to mount the unit to the left of the steering wheel on the window I would suggest hiding additional wiring either behind the drivers side kick panel or side dash panel.

Next you need to take apart your dash to get to the radio. Once you get the radio out unplug the fm antenna and plug it into the FM direct adapter. Plug the FM direct antenna back into your radio and put the radio back in.

*I usually hard wire the power so you can still use your cigerette lighter, to do this unscrew the top of the dc power plug that came with the unit and take a length of wire so that it makes contact with the top "nipple" piece and screw it back in. Then wrap another length of wire around the top outer metal pieces making sure it makes contact with both and tape the whole thing. Look at the back of the cigarette lighter connection and find which wire coming out goes to the center of the cigarette lighter and which goes to the side. Splice in the wire coming from the side of your plug into the wire coming out of the side of the cigerette lighter in your car and wire versa.*

Run all the cables under the dash and up the side near the door to the units final destination.

make sure you plug the antenna cable into the FM direct adapter.

Done!
