Thumbs down another "wont start thread" but detailed.

ok...here's the deal, '97 SC2 when the car starts up...if it does...it idles fine for a bit in park if i don't give it any gas, if i leave it in park for too long and don't rev it, it will eventually die after about 10-15 seconds. when i put it in drive/reverse immediately the car dies unless it's given a bit of throttle. when it is given gas it sputters and sounds like it's running on 3 cyl. for a little bit but then eventually comes around after a few revs.

...and i noticed that the PCV is bad..oil coming out around the seal. i know that if there is little to no oil pressure the car won't start. it loses a bit of oil so usually if i put more in it after having the problem, the car starts right up. That didn't happen this time around.

Also! the temp guage doesn't come up to the middle point like it used to and the fan never comes on but the engine def gets hot. did some searching and found that with a bad coolant temp sensor, the car wont start.

not sure if all of these symptoms are simply the result of the coolant temp sensor or the PCV or both or even something entirely different...but what i do know is that it is parked in downtown milwaukee right now in the middle of a snowstorm and my good weather car isn't even close to driveable right now. this really sucks. thanks for any help...good friday = bad friday this year
