The engine will clear the shaft pulling the engine from the top. The shaft is no longer than the bell housing. However, in order to pull the engine with out touching the tranny the pullies have to come off the engine. Other wise you wont have enough room. Other option is to undo the TAM mounts to the tranny and move it towards the driver side but its alot more work as the axles dont have alot of play in them.

Removal of the clutch assembly and fly wheel may also help. Though Im pretty sure the only way is to remove the pulliess

You can pull the tranny from the wheel well however the subframe does have to be lowered.
