| 2-year anniversary for 9/11--where were you? ...it's almost hard to believe it happened 2 years ago.
where were you when the attacks happens?
I was at work (AT&T) when it first happened..it was all over TV, but I thought it was some sort of a cruel joke at first, but it was on every channel and everyone was running through the office panicking tryin to call their relatives and everything.
However, despite all the lives that were lost and tragedies, it was nice to finally see people come together and put all the bull**** in the past behind them. |

| I was at school. No one would tell us what was going on. Not until an hour or so after it all happened. So I stayed in my English teacher's room because she was the only one with the TV on. At lunch, half the school was crying. Some from fear, others because they had parents at the WTC. I left early to go sit with my parents, staring at the TV in complete and total shock... |

| I was sitting in my office when everything went down. The phones stopped ringing, and everyone in the office went silent. All you could hear was the news reports coming over the radio. It was like, at that very moment, the whole world changed, and in fact, it pretty much did. The rest of that day, everyone at work pretty much walked around like a zombie.

| I was in the same place that I am right now, at work. I remember that my boss came and got all of us and said that a plane just hit the WTC. Everyone fell silent and the TV was turned on, as we watched in silence as the first building burned the second plane hit, at first i thought that the news was showing a replay of the plane hitting but that was quickly dismissed as I relized that the first building was already on fire. The military base that my building is located on, went on lock down we were not even allowed to go outside of our buildings for 3 hours or so, and then it was another hour or so before we could even leave the base. When the gates were reopened all non essential(sp?) personell were ordered to leave. I went home and watched the TV as the 2 towers fell. After, that I went outside and painted a new body for my RC truck.

| we were in gatlinburg tennesee, like were going to tomorrow! worst part is we were on a loop type trip heading to ohio, michigan, canada, NEW YORK then savannah GA, sinc ehte only time we been through ny (me and melissa) was when we were boat racing and we promplty headed down to the jersey shore to meet up with the crew (one year we towed the cat up, one year we flew in..) melissa never got a chance to see the city i so loved to call my stomping grounds, sotuh street seaport, the saint gennaro italain fest, etc ONE WEEK LATER we personally would have been on TOP of the observation towers as it was a "must do" when in NY type thing... scary, the baby was only months old and it was her first trip to tennesse.
that morning, not saying i started a trend but i bought two large american flags, to my dismay, made in china, hung them from the back of my durango and drove through 4 states, we didnt see one other car yet with flags flying but we got an awful lot of horns beeping and thumbs up signs.
since they sealed the borders to canada, and like the rest of america we were sick to our stomachs, we cancelled our big vacation, stopped in savannah on the way home to see my cousin todd, and that was it.

| I was in my senior year of high school-Heading into my precalc class-People started talking about it, but I didn't believe them. Finally, midway through class we turned on the TV, because we couldn't concentrate on anything-by then the 2nd tower had already hit. We went to lunch, went to our 3rd block classes (mine was french). I remember talking a junior girl who was talking about death and about faith-I had an awesome opportunity to explain my faith to her. It couldn't have been a better, more open time for all of my class to discuss that with one another. They then sent all of us home...I just remember watching TV for hours upon hours..they cancelled band practice (we hardly cancel for ANYTHING)..It still amazes me that something like that happened. It was a complete fog I was in the whole day..Today is almost the same watching the tv here at work and seeing the memories of the time.

| I don't know what it is, but for the last three 9/11's I have been in Las Vegas for work. I had turned on the TV right when I got up and the they were reporting a plane crash into the Twin Towers. It seemed like just a bad accident, and then the second hit. I was in a training course for work, and we kept the TV with low volume the whole day just in case anything else came up.
I was then forced to take a rented Mustang home the next day due to the airports being shut down. It was so bad you could tell people were renting u-hauls because all the rental car places were running out of cars. I saw 3 u-hauls broken down with the people sitting in the back of it empty, but I just flew by at 90

| i just got off work, long night, tired as hell, barley made the drive home. Walked in the door and the tv was on. Thought nobody was home. Started cussing. Went to turn it off and saw the replay of the first plane hitting the tower. Couldn't believe my eyes, sat down on the couch, and saw the second and third planes hit. Was up all day and all that night b/c i couldn't stop watching. 2yrs went by quick.
