Default 93 SC2 vs 94 SL2


Going to race my buddy at the dragway when spring rolls around. I have a 93 SC2 and he has a 94 SL2. mines a stadard and his is and automatic. both stock. he seems to think he will beat me. and he is the only one. what do u guys think.

Generally the manual will be able to put a tad more power to the ground than an automatic. What's the weight difference between a coupe and sedan, anything significant? If the weight is about the same within 100lbs, I say you'll win by prolly a bumper length.

i've put down two different coupes ('92 sc2m w/ k&N and exhaust cuttout, and a '94 with an mp2 swap and a '92 header.) with my automatic wagon. even befoere the weight reduction. ('94 SW2a, modded airbox, K&N, no muffler)

i don't think it'll be an easy win. but i bet it'll be a good race. have fun and be safe.

but my moneys on the sedan. SL's are cooler than SC's.

well so i dont lose, does anyone know the optimum rev range to shift at permormance wise?
