 97 sl1 sunroof questions, kinda long
ok, the sunroof in this car has not been opened for over 2 years. and now i want to use it. when i press the button i hear something clicking inside. almost has the sound of plastic gears that area stripped or are in the process of being stripped. last time the sunroof was opened it opened crooked and i had to all but pray to work it closed. are there some gears on the motors that i should be pricing, i also saw ( if i remember correctly, its been a couple years ) two rods/shafts going to each side of the sunroof itself. possibly these are bad? right now i dont have a book on the car. if anyone has one can they scan in pics of the sunroof. also if anyone has had this problem what did you do to fix it?
