Default AEM on a 2000 SOHC

is there any way to put an aem short ram intake (2000-2002 Saturn S Series DOHC) onto my 2000 Saturn SL-1 SOHC?

i read a post saying that the DOHC and SOHC engines were basically the same.. is there any way i might be able to replace the part that the air intake hooks up to with one from a DOHC?

I don't believe it will work...I could be wrong, but I believe the throttle body is positioned differently. If you're looking for a cheap on check on ebay..you can always fine cheap ones or http://www.procarparts.com That's where I bought mine from

No, it will not work. You need one off a 91-00 DOHC or any year SOHC. These will only work if your car is a 5-speed. The cold air system will not work on automatics.

i'm correct in thinking that AEM makes nothing that will fit an automatic sohc, right?

the only sohc short rams i ever see from aem say 5-speed only.

so.. i exchanged it for an injen... even though i prefered aem..
i'd still like to know whether aem makes a short ram intake for a 2000 saturn s series automatic sohc.. :\

The short ram will work on automatcis if you use the right one for your car, just the cold air system won't work.

so, which AEM Short Ram Intake will fit on my car?
i have a 2000 Saturn SL-1 SOHC Automatic

is it the Saturn Saturn 1995-02 1.9L SOHC (22-630)
because on all of the sites i can purchase them on say Manual Trans Only.

and this is the only Saturn SOHC short ram intake that AEM makes.
will it only fit on a 5-speed?
or are the sites wrong??

if not, i've already ordered an injen short ram as a replacement. !but i can cancel it and order something else by monday! and i'd rather have the AEM. so..... someone please get back to me with whether the AEM short ram intake part number 22-630 (as mentioned above) only fits on a 5-speed.

thanks,
dustin
