Default ahh crap

I went to get my oil changed on my current car (97 Escort) and the guy is like "hey dude, don't you drive that supped up Saturn?" and I was like "yeah I used to" and then I told him what happened and he was like "wow, that sucks. Your car was really nice!" and then he had to double check by asking "so it's gone for good?" People seem to be recognizing me outside of my Saturn. It's kinda scary. I guess they get to know what you look like in two years of driving around.

I miss my car so much guys I know it's only a material item, but I still.

Pete

I feel your pain Pete......I was devistated when my 96 was totalled, but it just made me more ambisious to get my 97 and make it truly "my car". Although, it's gonna take a while, this gives you the opportunity to make your next "Saturn".....even better.

Y'know, Pete, the fact that you had a picture of your car tattooed across your forehead is probably a bit of a dead giveaway isn't it?

Just kidding bud. It was kind of sad for me to roll by and check out the corpse yesterday. You've put so much into it, and in a split second it's all gone. The car looks like you could just stick on the wheels and go, but the damage is all a little deeper than that.

Just be nicer to your mom's Escort, alright?

Jim

I hate to hear about your car man, I know how it feels to be noticed for the car you drive, everyone around here remembers me for the 79 Camaro I use to drive, I get asked about it all the time and it sucks that I cant drive it right now. I know its a little diffrent because I can fix my car and you cant. Sorry, that sucks.

ALL cars can be REPLACED, people cant pete, thank god every night you go to bed it wasnt you that was damaged.
you guys know my frends in tennessee that i go visit right? we became friends cause i took a case where their son persihed in a saturn due to poor placement of the fuel lines, needless to say this affects EVERY s series saturn, when started the case i didnt want to ask grieving parents if their kid was on drugs, i remeber thinking, man if i put all this work into it and he even has a speck of alcohol or drugs in his system my case is shot, well he was a GOOD kid, nothing, and all investigations led to simply the fuel lines, he wouldve lived if it wasnt for that.
anyway out of the clear blue i got a pleasant surprise yesterday,.my friends, the MORGANS, are coming to visit me! they are leaving today and will be here for the weekend, funnyhow such a tragic accident can bring others closer together.

VERY true.

I remember hearing about that case Joey.

The insurance company called me back today and told me that my car was declared a total loss. Now I have to fight for a fair price.

all i know is, when i one day am done with my car.....custom insurance. Who ever hit my car is screwed cus i carge 40 bucks an hour for body work he he he. Cant wait to shave my handles. Joey better have the trailor reworked cus if you ever have to come pick it up again no hadles and it will be down another inch, unless i do pnumatic rods. any way back to the subject.

I know what it's like to be recognised by your car. I have one of a hand full of 95 coupes in the area let alone with about a 3 1/2 inch drop on it with the tear drop 2's. When i first bought the car, i new a guy that cut vynal stickers. so i got a 5 x 3 sticker that that said SC-2. My reasoning was that seeing as no where on the car did it say wich modle it was(unless you know your saturns wich not manny people do) this was a nice way to let people know untill i had money to do some thing else to the car.

I still get people going "man didnt you drive that droped gold 2 door saturn?" atleast i should be getting it back today. i miss it though and i cant wait to be back in it. And no there not materialistic things they are Pets you have to feed em, clean em and have them checked once and a while. Car = pet not object............yeah im obsessed with cars alot of people dont get it, i still dont get the guys that collect barbies. figure that one out.

dude ya know what? at the shop i had a great idea that worked fantastic, as you saw my tahoes pretty high (speakinh of high,my guys enjoyed some roachs found in your ashtray! muahahahahahah) anywaywe took two ramps, the kind you use for oil changes, put them UNDER the tahoes back wheels, i drove up, the trailer then cocked at an angle, i dropped the gatre and with the angle you ROLLED RIGHT OFF WITHOUT A PROBLEM, man, thats the lowest slammed satty i ever did see! dude, your engine upgrade to a 97 with the black valve cover looks bad ass! so far the only extra we ran into was the flywheel, your clutch looked ready for plenty more miles so we reinstalled it.
scott thomas a friend of mine and well known in saturn circles arrived from pa today, hes going to oversee the finals of your car then deliver it out to my house so it doesnt matter what time you come sunday its here and ready, plus my wife will give it a quick wash to get the road grime and our handprints off!
petey, the morgans as you recall, had a tragic loss, their son died on morgan road, which was named after their great gradnfather, terribly ironic, they are 4th generation tennessee folks.
one day, im going to post the pictures of my work, i want you all to see what CAN HAPPEN if racing , this saturn, is nothing but charred wreckage, whats heart wrenching is the skull and rib cage being the only thing left, the death report was horrible with carbon detected in his lungs which means he was fully alive when the car was in flames, what a terrible terrible death. i want the pictures to be in your minds every time you want to hit thatg pedal to race someone, i cant bear to do another case like this with which im so emontionally attached to and if it happened to any one of you guys you know damn well i would travel wherever to handle the case as a court appointed expert in accident reconstruction.by the way, danny morgan was NOT racing, he simply lost control and the placement of the fuel lines WHICH AFFECTS every s series is what created the blaze, during the case we uncovered cases where people simply hit potholes and ruptured the fuel lines and burst into flames, and even someone who simply went over a curb and caught fire, when this happens the pcm does NOT detect an accident and the FUEL WILL KEEP BEING PUMPED AT 35-44 PSI, like a flame thrower.
also, interestingly enough, when pulling a rear disc kit two weeks ago i found something out, i said to my guys, want to see why im a court appointed expert in accident reconstruction? they said sure , under the car a steel belt had cut loose from a tire, upon further examination we found the belt, had WRAPPED AROUND THE REAR CALIPER, thus , pulling the arm which the parking brake goes to, , the pictures are clear as day and you can clearly see how an accident can happen at any time, sad part is, i bet the owner never knew why the car went into a spin, i do, cause when you pull one side of a rear brake it THORWS you uncontrolably into a spin, this car was whacked front and rear, the pictures will explain all, on the same card in my digi cam are the shots of the volvo with the engine in the rear so ill ask celtic to put me up a post.
remeber guys, im NOT just a mechanic or a junkyard owner, i deal with this on a day in and day out basis also as a court appointed expert, what i see can happen to anyone at any time, lifes far to precious to risk it because you want to do a donut or a burnout, or a drag race, keep the racing ON THE TRACK WITH PROPER SAFETY EQUIPMENT.

I agree wiht you 100%. Keep the racing on the track. Is it worth it if you live through wreak, only to kill someone else.
