Default AHH DAMMIT!!! >:(

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! I accidentally cracked a hose during my brace bar install!!! For all the DOHC'ers and SOHC'ers that know what I mean, there's a small hose leading from the valve cover (just behind the oil cap) into the intake manifold... The hose is connect by two 90 degree rubber hoses. Well, I cracked one of those 90 degree pieces pretty badly. It's got a nice chunk missing out of it, and I don't know if my car is safe to drive like that... Any opinions? Any quick fixes? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Josh

Wrap some electrical tape or duct tape around it till you can get it replaced.

Guys,
I think I may have fixed it long enough for me to get it fixed See, last year, I replaced the valve cover gasket... The gasket is nothing but RTV Black Silicone Rubber from a squeeze tube. Well, I still had one whole tube of the stuff left, so I popped it opne and placed a bead atop the hole and let it set for an hour or so... Seems that it fixed it well enough for me to drive on it! I'm still going to replace the hose however... If push comes to shove, I'll be putting a breather filter on the crankcase Tuesday, so I could simply use the 90 degree hose from that to replace the one on the other one.
