Ah, the irony of asking this on an internet forum. Sure it's better to have friends you can come in contact with in real life. Doesn't hurt to know some people online, though. They can become real friends.

The thing I've noticed with the myspace groups (particularly the Saturn ones) is that most of them aren't worth crap. They're just random groups started by random people with no purpose, except "I drive a saturn so I decided to start a saturn group instead of joining one of the 20 other ones, because I want to be popular". I just started doing something with my myspace a couple days ago, and initially went through and joined all 2 dozen saturn groups. Upon noticing that no one seemed to post in almost any of them, I decided to only be involved in the biger ones, and let the small pointless ones die. Personally, I think they should only exist if they have a purpose. I can see 1 or 2 general saturn groups, the rest should be regional (like SPOC-North), or associated with something else (like SPOC).

Sign me up! I just joined the group. Not sure if I can contribute anything considering all I do here is ask questions but I joined anyways. As far as myspace goes...its kinda cool finding friends I haven't talked to in years. As far as meeting new people...I've met a couple but for the most part its been getting re-aquainted with old friends which is the coolest thing ever.
