| another death on the alley, a senator, and a 10 year old boy sadly, it was the 10 year old boy that died, yesterday coming home from luaderdale the alley was shut down, there is no exits or escape routes, after waiting for a hour i said, well aint going nowhere, so i doubled back all the way to ft luaderdale, grabbed rt 27 north, to st road 80, then got home, about 3 and 1.2 hours to which should have been a hour and half ride home. this morning watching the news i didnt catch all of it but there was a senator invlolved, a blow out, and a ten year old got thrown from a car and died.
this scares me cause i travel this road almost weekly, its desolate and your far from help in any direction. also, having a tall truck with large aftermarket tires, 32's, if i have a blow out im gone also.
im trying to get in the habit of not speeding so much, one i have points out the wazzooo right now, never got a ticker for ten years, the badge my brother gave me always seemed to get me off (if a family member you get an actual sheriffs badge but the top will be engraved, brother, sister, wife etc) normally this gets you serious courtesy but i had a slew of jerk off cops and bad luck, of course getting caught at 113 mph, 107, etc doesnt help! but when i travel that fast im usually on the alley, with no-one in sight and the only person im risking is myself, now, with a new baby and allot to live for im REALLY trying to slow down, after owning/driving so many proffesional race cars for so many years its a really hard habit to break.
lets pray for that family that lost thier son, terrible tragedy, if the senator was speeding im sure it will be covered up, anyone else got any info on this accident?

| No info about it, and very sad story.
I hear ya on the blowout thing though. Our Jeep was running 33 mudders, peps up front woulda been screwed even with the stock roll cage (it bolts to the windsheild, the upper bars, but is welded in the back in a box. windsheild collapses, and the people up front are screwed).
Hope that kid's family pulls through this alright. I don't even want to imagine how hard it is to loose a child.

What station did you see it on? If you know which one it was on, call them up and ask them for either a transcript or a copy of the footage. I'm sure tv stations tape their broadcasts. |

| Yeah, that is very sad. I hate when kids die. Haven't been watching the news the past few days, been hitting the hay early.

| The senator didn't cause the accident, he stopped at it and was one of the first on the scene. He apparently helped out until the EMTs arrived, and apparently was more of a "hero" than anything else. From what I've heard he was actually being a really good guy and putting his neck on the line. It was the same Senator (Frisk) that will be taking over from Senator Lott. |
