Default Any NASCAR fans here?

Just wondering if anybody here follows NASCAR?

Tonight kicks off the season with the Bud Shootout coming from Daytona at 7:30 PM EST on TNT.

I'm ready for the season to get started and can't wait.

Lets get all the nascar fans and drivers and anyone associated with it and bring them to the desert and drop a nuke on them.

Wohoo...Nascar is back. I enjoy any kinda racing but I love NASCAR. Something about sqeezing 700+hp out of a 350ci naturally aspirated.

It looks like it would be fun to go to a event live but watching it on tv and watching cars go around a track doesnt sound like it could keep my attetion long enough

Yes sometimes it can get a little boring especially when there's not much action on the track but watching a race from Bristol where they run around a half mile oval in about 16 seconds with 43 cars can get very exciting. Even at some of the larger tacks like Daytona and Talladega where you have all 43 cars bumper to bumper and 2,3, and sometimes 4 wide for the whole 500 miles can get very intense.

I've only been to a few races in person and those were at the road course at Sears Point in CA.

I believe the winner now gets more points and then after 26 races they reset the top 10 in points and have like a 10 race shootout for the championship.

I don't like they way they were talking about doing it so I haven't really payed attention to the exact outcome of how they have changed. I think they should of left it alone personally.

The new softer tires they are using this year looks like it might make the racing a little bit more exciting than recently. Now when they pit almost everyone will take 4 tires. No more of this taking 2 tires or none and winning the race.
