Default CAR and DRIVER magazine

I just got my car and driver magazine today and there's an article in there about the ions. Has some pics of it too... show's the guages quite well and personally I dont think it looks too bad. While paging through their reviews of various cars and I had to admit that the ION looked 10 x's better then alot of the NEW cars coming out. They have pics of the Quade coupe in here. Anyways just wanted to let others know.

paging through this magazine you should see the picture of the NEW cavilier, BUT UGLY. the article says it got a face lift. a face lift is right, it's horrible looking. Totally CHEAPED OUT the front end of it.

If you've seen the 2003 Cavalier, you'd think so even more. They extended the nose on that thing and it looks absolutely horrible.

I have 2 little complaints about the Ion so far, just by looking at it.
1. the steering wheel looks a little wierd.
2. the gauge cluster is in the center (horrible move for any car company).
But, what I really like about it is Saturn FINALLY decided to use glowing needles and what looks like reverse-indiglo gauges.
Please tell me if I'm wrong on that.
Though I hope I'm not.
All in all, both models look pretty nice, but I did notice some of the dimensions, especially the interior, are smaller than their predecessors.
Hopefully they can sustain the reputation that the S-series had.
This just means that 20 years down the road, whomever has an S-series is going to own a classic.

Maybe if we're lucky, they'll forget to release the quad coupe at all......LOL. The center mounted guages are growing on me, considering that's where they came from. I still think the coupe isn't sporty at all and needs a re-design.
