Yeah so I have a fun story about my SES light
Yesterday I went to AutoZone becuase after doing my gauges the day before my SES light was flashing every couple of minutes. I took out a few bulbs on my lower dash cause they were annoying, upshift, seat belt, lap belt. Well I ask the guy at Autozone
Me: "Do you have the code checker computer?"
Clerk: "The what?"
Me: "You know, the computer that you plug into the car and it tells you what is wrong."
Clerk: "Oh yeah, thats on isle 5."
Me: "No, isle 5 is ghetto lights, I am looking for the computer that you guys have behind the counter that lets you plug it into my car and it gives you a number, a code. This then tells me what is wrong with my car."
Clerk "Oh, ok, what kinda car you got?"
Me: "94 Saturn."
Clerk "Oh, it wont work with your car."
I turned and walked out after having my brain be infiltrated by a complete moron.
I then proceed to Milford Auto Supply (CarQuest), the guys here know their stuff, their mostly mechanics. I get to the counter and ask about the gauge cluster lights, he gets me 5 of them $4. I then ask about my SES light, here we go again.
Me: "Do you guys have the computer that checks the SES light?"
Clerk: "The SES light?"
Me: "Service Engine Soon."
Clerk: "Well that could be one of a hundered things, no we dont have the code checker, but I got a shop down the street if you wanna stop buy tomorrow I can give you a diagnotstic for $35, but if you have me fix it, the diagnostic charge wont be included."
Me: "Thanks for the bulbs, bye."
I get home and put a bulb back into my seat belt icon on the lower dash. Whatya know, the SES light goes off and stays off. So after dealing with a brainless moron at AutoZone and then having a guy try to charge me $35 to plug a goddamn computer to my car to give him a ****in number, I only spend $4 for 5 new bulbs and problem solved. How is this normal, lol.
