| G*D D*MNED F**KING seats. So, like many of you, my seats are falling aparts. I found some nice replacement seats at the wreckers a while back, in a Mercury Tracer (Mazda 323) They have every adjustment imaginable, and lumber support.
I was at the garage tonight, trying to fit them in my car, and it's gonna be a pain in the ass. I won't go into detail, but I'll be welding, cutting, fabricating and swearing my way through it.
What I want to know is how y'all have fitted aftermarket seats. Have you use the stock seat rails somehow? From what I can see the stock rails are pretty much useless because they're so integrated into the frame.
Also, just wanna be sure...any year of S series front seat will fit any other year of S series? Yes? Huh?

| Well Jim to answer your second question, yes. Coppertop has a 2000 SL1 and he just installed first gen SC2 seats into his direct bolt in. So I'm guessing it'll be ok to fit any year saturn seats into any year saturn.

| Guys,
I wanted to go with aftermarket seating as well, but if it's going to be a ***** to install, I'll just get a new set of stock seats.

| SOHC seats suck, they're so uncomfortable. I'm currently looking for black leather seats from a SC2. |

| I am in the process of installing my aftermarket seat. The install is a little bit trickier than expected. I opted to make my own brackets, instead of buying them. I will have pics posted of the install when I have them done.

| I'm thinking another set of stock seats is going to be the way to go with this one. I had someone offer to lend me money last week, maybe I should see if the offer's still there huh.......?

With Aftermarket seats, most are made to fit ANY CAR because they're usually racing seats that people are trying to install, and if it does need readjusting to fit, it's fairly easy to do. I'd check out the other set of stock seats if I were you

| when i got my momo seats installed i had a shop use the stock brackets....they just made the measurements needed and fabricated the stock brackets to bolt into the seat properly....if you have to resort to that....i had to pay about 60 bucks a seat....was no big deal since thats about what brackets cost anyways....i probably didnt help you that much but thought id put my two cents in....later

| Well, the money offered to me last week has officially been un-offered. Hmm.
Looks like what I'll be doing is cutting the rails off of the Saturn buckets, and bringing down the big plate on the side quite a bit.
Then I'll pull the stock rails off of the Mazda seats, and weld the Saturn rails on there.
Why oh why for the love of gawd couldn't there be a Saturn at Pick Yer Parts?!? There was one there last year, and it was gutted within days. Interior went first. Damnit.
