| HELP!!! I confoozed!!?!?!?! A coworker (over 50) is willing to sell his car to us - 1993 Saturn SL1. He is the original owner with all service records, rustproofed, drives like an old man, no crashes, etc. He's selling it cause the cylinder head is gone on it, and he would just rather get a new car instead of spending the money to repair or swap it. He's willing to sell it to us for $1500 CAD flat as is.
Now here's the thing. The wedding's coming up. A lot of money will be dumped into that. We were thinking about getting another car before the house. Our mindset is that a lot of things will come up financially, so get our little toys first. Plus, we're planning on a house outside of the city, and we'll both need access to the outside world.
$1500 is a deal, and we can get the car and park it until we can come up with the cash to work on it, insure it, etc.
OR
Do we let this pass and look for another deal after the wedding?
We both are completely confused on how to approach this one.

| Wait. Don;t put pressure on yourself. I may be young, but I;ve already learned that good things(and in this case BETTER things) come to those who wait. Seriously. |

| Yaman...that makes sense...
by the way, he needs an answer in two hours. He has an offer from Hyundai to trade it in for $1700. At this point, I'm leading toward passing, for the record.
I'm telling him not to go with Hyundai, tho...either an Accent of Echo. I think Toyota's the lesser of two evils...?

| That's good enough from here.
I've taken a few polls around, and the consensus is to pass on it.
That's cool.
Thanks for the help!
Other opportunities will come our way...

| Put the cash in the wedding. That's more important, and ya know, you can get a much better car than that. TBI......the fastest one out there is runing 15.75's at last check nitroused, stripped, and slicks if I remember.

| I'd wait, I've see cheaper SL1's and ones around the same price a lot.
Also, the roadrunn car has ran a 15.2 maybe faster from what I've heard, but I know for sure it was faster than 15.7 |
