| On the highway with a later gen SL2 So I am out on Friday night heading downtown New Haven. Cruising in the fast lane and I see Saturn headlamps behind me, they are stock lookin so whatever, he is keepin pace with me for the most part. I pull to the middle lane and the kid cruises by at first then I look to see his buddy, glance, look back, give a look to his friend and they slow back to match my speed. I downshifted to 4th and hung with him, then let him hear my intake for a second and drove off then came back. The kid smiled and gave me a nod and then slowed to get off his exit.
On a better note on the way home, there was a limo in the slow lane so I blew by it and glaned in my rearview to see some hands flailin out the side window. So I slow and go down to 4th. The kid starts yellin to "yo make that sound again." So I smiled, downshifted to 3rd slowed up and rode 3rd high up and hit 4th just as I passed his window to see him flailin his arms in excitement out the window as I flew by. Intakes are fun... |

| Was the SL2 trying to race you?
LOL! That's funny they wanted to hear the intake. You should put a sound byte of it up. I'm actually thinking aboout getting an AEM and modifying it to fit on my car, I don't know for sure though. |

| Intake noise that significant? Is there something you're leaving out? Does your intake have some form of compression going on?

| no secrets, lol. It just gives this awesome sound. It doesnt sound like any intakes you hear on Hondas or Neons. Mine is clean, and clear and has a nice flowing sound. If I could get a sound byte up I would. When my mechanin took the car to work on it, he gave it back and was like, this thing is in mint condition, nice to see ya keep it clean, its quick too. So I felt pretty good.
Hey Matt, you got an auto? I forgot if you did or not.
P.S.- No we weren't racing just cruisin but still fun. |
