Default home made A/F meter

Heya, does anyone here have the plans for the home made A/F meter? I had them in my comp someplace and now I can't find the little buggers.

Close, but no cigar. The one I'm trying to find is basically a little something you can put together out of Radio Shack off the shelf bits. But thanks anyhow. That could come in handy.

I just had the coolest idea.

I've heard mention that splitting the signal from the O2 sensor can have some ill effect on the engine controls. How much this may or may not effect Saturns is something I know nothing about. But, supposing that it is true, then ideally adding a second O2 sensor explicitly for the purposes of operating an A/F gauge would be the thing to do.

What a pain, huh?

I just thought about the fact that the ALDL interface on all of our cars provides a way for devices to read the A/F mixture in real time from the car's own computer. Now, instead of always having a computer plugged in to the car, suppose a circuit could be designed that would allow a completely plug in A/F meter for our cars? No extra sensor, no hard work. You'd always have an A/F reading that was identical to what the engine control unit is seeing and using. What a cool idea. I'm gonna have to look in to this.

Well, it's the splitting of the signal from the single O2 sensor that I'm concerned about.

Maybe I'm just suffering from the effects of the toxic tattoo ink they used to print Ohm's Law on me with, but there may well be some cause for concern about adding a gauge to the same sensor that the car uses to adjust itself.
