Has anyone here, or does anyone here know anyone, who has lined their hood or trunk lid with underbody or bedliner spray? I was thinking it might be a good way to kill unwanted levels of noise.

I dunno about the trunk buddy, but I did put Dynamat all over my front doors, and the vibration is now down to none. My only other issue now is to get some felt pads or foam pieces behind my door handles to keep them from vibrating when the bass gets loud. Other than that, the Dynamat works awesome!
You could do that, but it would probably be more effective with Dynamat. In one of my old cars, I did a thick coat of this over the entire interior of my car. It did not really do much. That and the air in the cabin of your car will be deadly for at least 18 hours (probably flammable).
