Default How much would an SC2 engine cost?

Hey guys, if i were to do any minor modding to my SC1, what would an SC2 engine cost? Roughly? I live in Canada so it would have to be in canadian dollars, i'm not that great at converting the dollars accurately hahaha. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. I just think that an intake and exhaust wouldn't be that great unless i had a better engine. And all in all, it'll probably be about $500 short of a new SC2 engine anyway. My car is a 2001 by the way.

You're looking around the 2k range.

I can get you the motor and internals, minus the head (blown motor, mind you), for $100 American dollars (you pay shipping/freight).

twin cams with us range from 550-1250.00 depending on year , mileage , etc. thats for a complete perfect running engine. now, you would want to go to early on a 01 car, so that knocks out the 550.00 ones.
id at least go 97+, 97's start at 700.00, or my prefrence would be go 99. it has the newer roller rocker head which was MUCH smoother and quieter, yes still has decent size exhuast ports (in 00 they added a smog pump and made smaller exhaist ports which in some cases hinders performance on the twins. a clean 99 is about 900.00

hey billy crios! yup, the 99 roller rocker will bolt right on, keep in mind youll need the intake and exahust manifold from the 99, then you put your 97 injectors on the 99 intake (bolt RIGHT up, 3 bolts, the 99 injectors had diffrent end plugs, which of course if you WANTED to use them you could simply splice in the 99 injector plug ends, two wires each)
when we send say a 2001 twin to a customer with an older car we HAVE TO send a 99 intake so everything bolts up and works.
one of the many tricks from doing many swaps....

Joey, some of the 99s had the smog device thing as well. I think the later 99s had them... cuz mine does. (You're talking about that chrome pipe that comes off the exhaust manifold right?)

cali cars got the smog pump before us, if you have a 99 with a smog pump it musat be a very late month build date, like a 11/99 on the decal in your drivers side door.
