Default Hurricane Charley

I think we should all be sending our best wishes to all of our friends down in Florida in the hopes that they have been untouched by Hurricane Charley.
For those that have been hit by Charley best wishes in the hope that you have not been hit hard and are in good health.

I hope that you are all fine and hope to hear from you all soon.

Tom

Yeah I wonder how Joey and Mellissa are doing since they live right near Ft. Myers and that's where the eye of the storm basically went through.

Hope everybody in FL is safe and for those near the coast in SC and NC be prepared for this to make it your way.

Yes, best wishes to all of you. And, of course, I hope your Ions and Saturns are spared.

Yeah, Joey is in Arcadia now. Even if he was in Leigh Acres still I think that he would have gotten nailed. Charley made land fall in Port Charolette so the difference is distance is nothing. Being in Arcadia means that he likely got hit a bit more directly.

i spoke with joey a few times during the storm, i offered him limited refuge at my place but he decided to stay and ride it out. he called me when the eye hit and told me that i would need to hunker down in an interior room and ride this one out. he also asked me if i could come down and help him rebuild.

the report i got from him before i got cut off is that there is nothing left. the whole town is just about flat.

i'm loading up my car with as much food-water and gas as i can carry and making a run down there to do whatever i can.

on a side note. my sation wagon was down at joeys yard, so it is now likely not even good enough for parts...

Tell Joe we are praying for him. I hope that he doesn't have problems with the insurance. I hope its not as bad as it sounds.
