Default I'm starting to hate my digital camera

This is really starting to piss me off. I have a cheapo digital camera, not literally, just cheaper than a lot of higher end ones. Anyways does anyone else have problem with you camrea going through batteries like crazy? The other day I put new batteries because the others were low. I spent $7 on some Energizer lithium batteries. My camera has a feature where it tells how many pic I can take on the battery life, with new batteries I only get a whopping 17 pics, and the internal memory holds 32, to take before I have to toss out more money. Kodak has a chargining dock and picture transfer in one, on the website it's $80. F that! So people with digital cameras what do I need to do get some kind of charger or rechargable batteries and chargine kit? What are some good ones for cheap, I'm not investing all of my money into this stupid camera.

Digital Camera all will go through batteries

I have some NIMH ones from Radio Shack for all my stuff around the room and they work great. 24 dollars for charger and 4 AA batteries charger will charge AA's and AAA's.

Which model camera do you have? I have the cx4200. I turn it off when I'm through using it. Mine has a number on the top right and whenver I take a pic it lowers one. The owners manual says it's for the pics remaining. I only have 2 in the memory and have 17 remaining. So is this the problem that regualar lithium batteries suck and I just need a charger?

Do buy batteries or just use a chager and rechargabe batteries. I think I'm getting one. With all the money I'll spend on batteries it'll pay off.

I use an HP Photosmart 612. Takes a ton of pics, great battery life too. Uses 4AA. Go with Duracell batterries, they are the best.

I turn it off between pics as well and if its on for a certain period of time, it has an auto shutoff. Good battery life on this camera as well. And using the display screen will draw more battery power than anything.

i use regualar duracell AA batteries and my camera only takes 2 AA and also has a LCD screen so i think if i forget to turn it off say while at a car show and if i forget i think like 5 times the batteries will be dead so i usually egt a pack of 8 before i go to a show and have them in my pocket

uhhh that is the number of pictures left that you can take due to the memory filling up. NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR BATTERIES. While you have a 32mb card in the camera that doesn't mean you get 32 pictures. Depending on what resoloution you set the camera to you can probably get anywheres from 5 to 60 pictures on a 32mb card. I just think of how many times you have tossed perfectly good batteries and blew good car mod money on new ones.
