| Insurance? I've been thinking for a while about getting rid of my car and pick me up a 96+ Trans Am or Z28. What do you all think full coverage insurance would be on a car like this? I'm 20 so I know it's probably going to be high. That's the main thing that's probably going to suck about getting a f-body car. Anyone else here have a V8 car around my age, what's your insurance? |

| all depends on ur area. with you bein down south i can tell ya that ur insurance will be hella cheaper then prolly my liability on my SL1. i have the highest liability coverage a teenager can have on there own policy (im 20 now but when i was 17 i opened my own insurance policy) i pay about $900 a yr for 100000/50000/100000 liability coverage ONLY and have 6 points on my liscense.....and i live in the most populated state with people per sq mile and EVERYTHING is so damn expensive here.

I get ass raped now on my SC in insurance, I pay $150 a month for full coverage Ins, which isnt all that bad compared to some PPL, but I had a nice V-6 Mustang it was a 98 black black leather power everything since it was a V-6 I thought for sure I could afford it, when I called my Ins company they quoted me $420 a month for it, I reminded her it was a V-6 and she said she put that down and I asked her what about the GT and it was $480-$520 a month!
Those are sports cars, Ins is definetly gonna be expensive Im 22, when you turn 25 Ins drops so it prolly wont be till then till I buy a car I have always wanted |

| Ouch, I guess I'll stick with the satty for a while. That's OK, that gives me time to save up more for a '02 sunset orange WS-6 and tons of goodies for it too. I figured insurance would kick my ass anyways. |

| you could always call your ins company now and get a quote on it
By the looks of your car you can tell you put some money in it, if it still runs good might as well get your money out of it! |

I don't even want to add all of the recipts to see how much I've spent on it. I'm going to keep it for quite a while probably, and probably will keep it if it's still going when I get another car. |

| The only way to know how much it'll cost is to ask your insurance company.
