Was doing some pointless surfing, and came across this.

Those wrecks aren't even bad. I got pictures of wrecks, that I should post online and show you guys. One is of a saturn. It is really wrecked, you can't even tell there are 2 seats in the front.

"Real-World Challenges: Polymer body side panels. The first challenge that any damaged Saturn vehicle presents to a rescuer is the plastic polymer body side panels. Forcible entry for this jammed rear door should include the “vertical crush” attack. Note the door failed inward, moving over the top of the rocker channel. This movement could potentially crush or trap the feet and legs of a rear seat patient in a more severe collision."

WTF? that can and will happen with any car that was T-boned like that.

It's an auto shifter...they're still meant to be high..in my opinion anyways. Cutting them...pointless

I will agree BRENSaSC2........
why shorten the shifter? It looks different but how come I have seen at least 2 posts where you mentioned somethign about your shifter. One was in regards to some guys stereo setup. I dont think you are going to get everyone interested in that mod. That is something that many people wont do.

I went to the junkyards today to pick up a new valve cover and saw 2 saturns and one was completely destroyed. I only was able to determine it was a Saturn was by the rear bumper filled in. The other one looked like it rolled down a 100 foot cliff. It was horrible. I have plans on stiffening my doors alittle bit.

What they are saying is, if a saturn is in a car accident, and they use the Amkus tools to cut the car apart. If you use the Jaws to push against the roof and down on the door, it could crush the door onto the people's feet and legs. But if you hurt someone while cutting them out, you are just careless.

Yeah, I know alot of pple won't do it. But it was another original mod that I did b/c I haven't seen anyone else that did it. After using my shortened one for so long, the ones at regular height look way different. I'm just used to seeing my shortened one. I just don't like the higher ones b/c they look out of place. They stand out too much.
