Default J-body?

This question has been stuck in my mind ever since I picked up my SC in February. Is the S-series a J-body?

Whenever I get in a Cavilier/Sunfire I have this wierd feeling like it's exactly the same as being in the SC. There's also several similar elements between them....

So...is the S-series another J-body car, or is it a design of its own?

I don't think it is a j-body. I've never heard anything about it being one, and the dude down the street is in ****in love with j-bodies cus his gf has one. It may be, but hes never said anything about it, so I say no.

as far as i know that saturn has solely been there own lil company until recently when GM took over. i expect saturn to start lookin like a few cavs or the cavs to start lookin like the ions....but im not sure about saturn bein a J body. i do know that saturn uses a complete space frame design for their cars to its VERY strong

Here's a list of all of the different GM bodies nomenclature and Saturn isn't listed anywhere on it.

j-bodies are cavaliers and sunfires (sunbirds pre 95) but saturn s-series are actually z-bodies.

Saturns are basically based off of the fiero frames....

and to agree with everyone, saturns are not J-bodies. J-bodies are off of different platforms anyways.
