Default Jiffy Lube Horrors

We've had 3 customers come in recently with engines gone kaput-all from Jiffy lube. They've been replacing the oil filters with V6 filters instead of 4 cylinder filters on some of the L-Series and now they're engines are ruined. Just a warning to those of you going to Jiffy Lube-especially driving L series cars. PS-this problem is not covered under warranty-it has to be prepared through insurance or suing Jiffy Lube. Sucks doesn't it?

That sucks like a whole lot. That is just one reason that I change my own oil.

I'd never let a quick change place within 20 feet of my car. They have morons who work there.

Guys,
This is EXACTLY why I take my car to a Saturn Dealership and have them do it for me. Yeah, the closest dealership might be close to an hour away, but, at least I know it's being done RIGHT.

I don't even trust the saturn dealer. As the saying goes, if you want something done right you have to do it yourself.

Thats a 2nd for changing my own oil. I let Goodyear change my oil once and they forgot to put the oil filter back on, hey new engine, but sucked. Now its me 4.5Qts Castrol and a K&N oil filter.

For my first few i'm going to the dealer, they're only 5 minutes from my house, and i don't have the new oil filter wrench for the plastic cap. You break that and your in a world of ****. A place for which i don't plan on being.
