Nicley put, Joey. It'd be nice if GWB could get his mind off the middle east and think about home for a while.

Sweet letter joe. I pray the Prez sees it. I almost lost my uncle and aunt on 9-11 and somewhat want retribution, but not at the cost of my cousin who is the Baddest Colonel by now. I agree.. bring it home , and find another way to deal with any threat that comes are way. ( if they come this way). I only pray for the people of those countries, who should stand up for themselves and change his Damned Regime. It's not ours but theirs. I really hope we can avoid war. Well in any case I still have to find money to pay the damn utility bill. peace out Doggz

Very well put I'll have to agree with ya, if we pumped all the money we dumped into all those other countries into our country we probally wont be in a recession. But I think that Bin Laden did have something to do with 9-11, and he had something to do with the Embassie bombing in Nairobi, and Tanzania, and the bombing of the USS COLE, Now what if one of Saddams weapons falls into the hands of on of these terrorist and it shows up in an American city, I saw what happened on 9-11 I saw it with my own eyes, I dont think I'll ever go back to NYC, but the President is trying to prevent that from happening again, and Saddam needs to go, he promotes terrorism in Israel with Palestians, by giving money to Suicide bombers families but that is a whole nother issue that probally would be solved if Israel would give them all the West Bank and Gaza Strip, couldnt Israel not be a Jewish State and them and Palestine become on country.anywayz..... I dont think that issue will go away if Saddam is removed they been fighting over a that little piece of land for 50+ years now...but I think war is ineviatable now, it will only be a matter of time till Bush says go he hasnt been building forces up there for now reason just listen to the speech he gave last night he talked about Iraq as a democracy life without Saddam. I would rather the U.N. go in there rather than the U.S. alone cause were gonna have to be a Occupying force and thats just gonna fuel the fire for those terrorist, its pretty much a lose lose situation Bush is in either attack Iraq, or wait and there is a possibility one of Saddams weapons could end up in America who knows whats gonna happen wish life could go back to the way it was before 9-11, I say we should start a pool and try to guess when the war will start, cause I dont think theres no stopping it..

Yup were ready all right. I think George Bush is trying to take an approach to this war like LBJ did to Vietnam...Hes just waiting for one incident from the Iraqi side so he can claim that Americans were attacked by them so he will have a justified cause to go to war. Right now he has no real reason besides reconnaissance that we have, but if we get attacked, with all the troops already over there....We'll be in Baghdad in no time.....That was a nicely written letter Joey, but I have to disagree with the war part...After all of this that we've done infront of the UN, Collin Powell going up there and arguing to let us use force against Iraq, we would look like pussies to back down now. All the preparation, all the money spent transporting troops and equipment over there, and you just wanna turn around? Thats a waste of money right there. If we go over there for nothing that would be a bigger waste than if we went over there and took Saddam out. He is one of the worst dictators the world has, and he poses a real threat. I know I'm only 16 and I might not know everything, but this is my point of view on things, you all can take it however you want.

You make a couple of excellent points in that letter, Joey. I hope the man up top gets to see it.

I myself have been pro-war for some time now because of my asessment of the economy. Your letter certainly made me think about my stance on war at this time.

i see and agree with many of your points BUT to lengthen the subject, my vieiw is this, this is bushs OIL WAR, he has HUGE amounts of interests in foreign oil HIS FAMILY benifits from it, right now crude oil is CHEAPER then during the 1974 gas crisis, but were paying quadruple? sorry, even with inflation that makes no sense.
but hey, im always open to hear everyones side, that was just my point of view from where im standing...
