It's for the store that sells them (middle man), not the consumer. The reason is..is because the consumer has the right to know what materials are in the mattress. Who reads them anyway? Sorry I didn't have a funny answer, but that's what I've always been told. -Kaci

Just one of those things to try and get people in trouble, seeing a tag saying dont remove by law, your really tempted to remove it. Just like if you see a red button and the words "dont press the red button" you would wanna push it out of curiosity. Law enforcement trying to make an extra buck an easy way i guess
