laptop internet connection

if there any way to get a laptop to see an internet connection from your car. i know when you go to a hotel yuo can get internet access, but i want internet in my car so i can surf spot while at car shows, snap pics and post them from the shows

if i have to use my cell for an internet connection i suppose i could do that, but how would i connect te laptop to the cell fone....i was kinda hopin wireless setup tho

when i was looking up laptops from dell to buy there was a thing u could sign up for from tmobile and ummm maybe at&t that was "wireless internet" im not really sure how it works though....

If your cell phone supports internet capabilities you should be able to purchase a data cable to go from the phone to the laptop. I just bought one for my phone to dump pictures from the phone to the computer and i downloaded software to do it and there was software for it that would use my phone as a modem for a laptop.

get a wirless network card and a big azz antenna for it....there are A LOT of wireless networks out there....but legality of using them is a big issue (its not legal for most..but who cares)

Most Cell Phone providers have the option to do this. All you need is the data cable and be subscribed to sometimes one of their many Net Plans.

I have Nextel, and I've seen it done, hell we processed credit cards with it. It used a 14.4 or a 19.2 kps connection but it was a connection! Didnt pay a thing( other than the Net service, which comes included with some plans) either cause what it did is use your regular minutes, and if its a weekend and u have free nights and weekends...well then you get the point!
