| Letter to yourself 5 years ago. Dear 2002 Nathan,
1) N/A Saturns are a waste of money. SOHC is a waste of money. Any mods not made for appearance or handling are probably a waste of time.
2) FWD is gay. Not a waste, but gay.
3) Try at all expenses to keep a comfortable driving car, and a quick/track car. Springs, solid engine mounts, a stiff clutch, exhaust and a gutted interior are great for the track, but it really sucks ass on the highway, or in the city, or pretty much anywhere.
4) Don't bother getting a Saturn from a dealership, you can probably find one for half or less private party. Also, don't buy that SC1, you could get an SC2 for way cheaper than it's going to cost you to make an SC1 into the SC2.
5) In the year 2007, if you add up what you spent on your SC1, what you spent turning it into an SC2, what you spent making it fast, and what you spent making it legal, you could easily afford a used WRX or some such nonsence
so, 2002 Nathan, don't be dumb. It will be worth it in the long run.
Love,
2007 Nathan
PS, that hot British chick that you think likes you....She totally does...but do something about it EARLIER than two weeks before she leaves America forever.

| Haha, nice, I like this idea.
2002 Randy,
Little did you know, you'll be moving to Phoenix, Arizona nearly immediately after you graduate in two years. Don't waste your time with any more females living there, they'll only cause you grief after you move.
A guy from Fry's Electronics will call you and interview you for a job. Turn it down and put your resume on CareerBuilder.com instead. You'll get a call within a week for a much nicer, higher paying job.
Forget about going through temp agencies to get a technical job. Find out what company the agency is placing you with, and go directly to that company to see if you can get in that way. They'll pay you more than you'd make with the agency.
Don't waste your time messing with car dealerships. Especially the one that tries sticking you with a perfectly-fine, but not-what-you-wanted '99 Mercury Cougar. But don't sweat it if you do pick it up, the dealership will want it back by the following Wednesday because you have no credit. Take note, dealerships will do anything to get you into a car, even if they know you won't be able to buy it on your own. Never get a co-signer, do everything on your own when it comes to credit.
If the urge to go back to WI ever comes back, don't do it when you've got a 1995 Chevy Blazer with 180,000 miles. It will break down. Plus, you should have no reason to go back to WI anyway if you took my advice and didn't get a new girlfriend.
Wow, I could go on for ages, but I think I should stop, haha.

| hmmm...lets see
Dear Self.
Dont impulse buy that Saturn, shop around and get it from a saturn retailer, hot days happen but vinal seats can be covered. Stay away from those *&$# credit cards, they are nothing but pure evil, especially that Best Buy card, wow that one maxed out fast. Finish school...
Actually follow what life puts in front of you, if you change anything I wouldnt be where I am right now. I have a killer job, an awsome group of friends, and a family that loves me unconditionally. Dont change a thing.

| Dear 2002 Dan
This year is going seem really bad. You're apendix is going to pop and you'll spend 7 days in the Hospital. Plus be out of work for 7 weeks. Brandie is going to leave you. And your 96SL is going to spin a rod. As bad as that seems you're going to meet a really nice girl. She'll be one of your best friends for the rest of your life and be glade that she is there for you. You're ganna get a 97SL2 and then a 97SC2 they are ganna be your pride and joy. Save your money and remember credit cards are bad. Remember no matter how bad things get your parents and friends have your back.
~2007 Dan
