Default the long road to recovery

well, the unnamed turbo tuning company has yet to contact me about the wagon, so i am assuming that thay are no longer interested (which is exactly why i kept them unnamed)

so i'm going to have to fix it.

today i pulled the cam cover off cleaned it and painted it with blue annodizit paint. looks real...

sometime withing the next week i'm going to pull the timing cover off and replace the sprokets, chain, guides and tensioner upon the advice of a mechanic.

i will also be swapping out the head for a '92 head w/ flat faced valves.

while everything is apart i will also be upgrading to the '92 header, and removing the AC.

we'll see how well this works.

hey wait Crash... you cant say Project and Malice in the same sentence... it'll get confusing.

Malice > it was nice to finally meet ya at the Xtreme show man... too bad you didn't bring the S-Dub (i'm getting tired of winning by default)

Anyways... good luck man, my timing chain started clickety clacking that night of the show... *sigh*

good to hear Malice, but from now on you'll always have a place for the 2nd gen coupe in your heart.

By the way, post some pics of the Cam cover, I want to paint mine eventually but I want to see how yours came out.

i don't have a digital camera, but i'll tell you...it came out abso-****ing-lutly beautiful.

i gave it about 7 light coats of blue clearish paint over 3 light coats of the aluminum anodized base coat.

came out great.
