Default Mades some test drives today.

Today I made two test drives and I am going to test drive two more next week.

'03 Ford SVT Focus Anniversary Eddition (Orange) - Amazing ride I must say. Handling is excellent, car can change lanes with the flick of a wrist. 6 speed manual - super short shifting, clutch is really really tight. Super charged engine really puts you in the back of your seat, although I prefer turbos over SCs. The car rides also really really nice. Took a 90degree corner at about 30 coming off a main road and didnt even squeal the tires, didnt have to much roll either. Without really beating the car I was to 60 from a 5mph roll in about 3-4 seconds. Overall there is nothing I can say bad about the car besides the price.

'03 VW GTI - Turning flat out sux on this car. Really needs a tower bar, car has a lot of roll as well. Suspension doesn't respond as well as it should either, more of a luxuary ride than a performance ride. Car is very very nice in a straight line though. Turbo makes this car worth while as soon as you hit about 2500RPM. Spools up and you just move. Brakes on the GTI are also very responsive, stops on a dime. Shifting is longer than you would expect from a platform like this although clutch engages pretty quick. Without really beating the car I was to 60 from a 5mph roll in about 4-5 seconds. Car overall is a nice platform but has a few weak points.

Hope to TD a Cvic SI(Just to beat this **** out of it) and the VW Beetle Turbo S.

Just wanted to give my opinion.

Focus Anniversary Edition? What anniversary? A whole 2 or 3 years? Eek....I realize they're a big hit, but I've seen friends drive them and have had MANY MANY problems. Not worth it in my opinion.

Ford's anniversary, there also doing some anniversary mustangs too I think.

I want to test out a WRX STi and EVO just so I can rag the hell out of them. 7K RPM launches. It's on if the salesman doesn't ride with me, I'll rally those *****es on a dirt road. Then spray them off at the carwash before I go back.

outta those cars, i'd go for the civic you haven't test driven yet. Best bang for the buck, and the nicest looking IMO.

According to some of the reviews i have read though, the SI just doesnt have as much to offer as the SVT. Ill really have to do the test drive, but from what I uderstand the SI's handling is far inferior to the SVT, the GTI and the Turbo S. Im going to be doing the Turbo S tomorrow cause I have a 4 hour break in between classes.

PS
Friday i was going to head down to the Mitsu dealer to take a look at an Evo. See how pig handles!
