| Malice Racing in love with 2nd gen coupe?! oh my, i think i'm falling for it.
heres the background. a well known company has expressed interest in purchising the wagon from me to use as a project car, even knowing that it doesn't run.
it's gonna be costly and a pain to fix it, so i'm considering selling it to them. so today i went cars shopping and really found nothing interesting. until i ran across this rare little gem.
'98 special edition SC2
white with a black roof, black crome emblems, and black painted alloy wheel inserts. it had white face guages and didgital odometer, premium CD with EQ, and real nice cloth interior.
it has 68K on it and they are asking $5400
i did a little research at the dealership and found this out.
it was recived on 04/07/98, sold on 04/16/98 and serviced regularly until 07/24/00, when it was in to service a leaking tranny gasket.
service continued regularly with no further problems.
it was traded in on 07/03/02 for a VUE and sold at auction on 07/12/02
i have no information after that except what the salesman told me. he said that they had bought the car wholesale and it had been in there a while.
he told me that most people don't see that car as something special instead of a regular saturn so it was diffiult to sell. he told me that it would probably sell to someone who knew more about saturns. (at this point i hadn't introduced myself as the founder of the CFSC, and my car was parked next door)
it's beautiful and i wanted to take it home. i'm currently trying to work out a deal with the thusfar unknamed tuning company and see if i can get a loan... if it goes through Malice Racing will be driving a 2nd gen coupe.
whoda thunk it? |

That's how you know if a Saturn coupe is special edition-when it has the black roof. As for the black painted inserts, they're also stock-look at the pic. I'm sure you've seen those alloys before. They're just like the ones on the 95/96 Saturn SC2s.
