Default Man....now I dunno

On one hand I really want an old school, turbocharged dodge, '89 or newer. 5 speed prefered, but a 3 speed 400+ ft lbs torque monster is acceptable .

Now, looking through the local ads.....it's damn near impossible to find one. Literally. But, I can pick up a Saturn easy as cake for cheap as hell, running or not, doesn't matter.

Here's my other idea:

Get a '91 or so DOHC Saturn. Or a SOHC, whichever's cheaper, long as it's got a good block. Get 35K or less used MP3 tranny for $300 or so (I know people ). Grab a Powerdyne BD-600 blower (if you haven't seen one yet.....it's meant for a mustang V8 ). Get Crower rods/JG pistons for $350 (again...know people). Rip out the AC, put in the blower. Low pressure, high volume. Run 10-15 psi, intercooled. Strip interior. Get ported head/manifold for $200. Dyno tune. Run low 14's, maybe hit 13's. Put in a torque sensing biasing diff next summer.

If you want an "old school" Dodge, pick up a K car, Horizon, Omni, Daytona, whatever. They all used the same basic driveline in them.

To make it fast there are TONS of Dodge turbo parts (blocks, intake, turbos) at almost every wrecking yard I've ever been to.

How cheap you ask? Well, a friend of mine built an Omni GLH clone for less than $750, and runs low to mid 12s in it. (secondary injectors, boost at 24 psi for racing, 7 psi on the street)

monkeyracing, I know, that's why I'm talking about htose. However, they're ****in hard as hell to find. That's why I'm thinking a stripped down blown Saturn might come into play.....you can find them cheap as dirt and I've got connections with some things.

carson: you got the V6 don't you? I need a 2.2 or a 2.5 turbo.

I wouldn't call bull****. Those motors call LOW boost 20 psi of boost at the track, and they walk away and drive their owners to work the next day. Iknow what they're capable of, and that is very possible
