AT least Mazda is stepping up to the plate. Saturn has down that on rare occassions, but for most of Saturns major problems they've had coming from factory, they just like to sweep it under the table. Good for Mazda to actually fess up!

the 13b is a RX-7 engine to it revs to 9 as well but witha 13b and a single turbo set up you will get more power than you will ever get from the renisis (SP) 13b's are easily modified and you can get huge power gains off them with just a few mods

RiceRocket: I don't think it's a dumb screw up..a lot of companies overrate their cars, or they don't meet their projections when it's produced, but none have went to this extreme..usually they offer $500-$1000 or free maintenance until you get rid of the car, but never offer to buy it back. Hell, if it were a "Saturn", they'd tell you to shut the **** up and give you a coupon for a free car wash or somethin
ROFL True dat.
Almost all car are underrated because they are measured on a brake dyno and they come with a flywheel hp reading. When you stick them on a dynojet you get the wheel hp and its about 10%-20% lower, but the RX8 was WAY under even accounting for driveline losses.

And yea Saturn wouldn't even give you a car wash. They would give you free tickets to a vehicle saftey lecture.

Sure, but what happens with a Turbo Renesis. Those improved ports have got to be good for something. To raise boost, a CNC machine could dimple the rotor until ~8:1 compression is achieved.

The 13b ports can be improved as well and you are starting out -40 hp with the new rotary, and thats a lot to make up and everything you can do to it you can do to a 13b its like doing the same things to a 350 and a 454 which will have more power. dont get me wrong the new rotary with a turbo would have some kick but nothing like a 13b and the 13b should bolt right in. I have been reserching the 13b's becuse I am getting ready to do a swap into my satty gonna cost big time but boy will it be fun
