| Mercedes for less than $40,000 http://sportcars1.tripod.com/mercedes1.html
concept that might be on the market....It's pretty nice. It has 125bhp, so its nothing like its OTHER mercedez classes, but nice styling. |

| The smaller C class that's out now runs between $25-35k. That one's a bit too wierd for me.

| BMW 1 series New competition for compact car market...Try the BMW 1 series (it just sounds cheap for a bimmer, doesn't it?) http://a298.g.akamai.net/7/298/5382/...7_image001.jpg
Expected to hit the market in 2004 http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring...es/bmwone3.JPG http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring...es/bmwone1.JPG
2.0-litre engine making more than 180kW
it's expected that the German car maker will offer a brand new range of 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6-litre four-cylinder powerplants, each with BMW's patented ValveTronic system, which will help boost power and torque somewhat.

This is the new "teenage" car that kids could actually afford! It just doesn't have BMW written right across it. To me, I'll know they paid about the same for that BMW as a brand new L-Series....It just doesn't seem right for a BMW-I personally think it's a mistake-same with Mercedes. They shouldnt' lose their class to expand their marketing area-and through this I think they're going to.

| nah, same thing will happen as happened with mercedes.....they'll expand their market, although unlike the mercedes C......that BMW looks quite a bit cheaper in quality.
