yeah, you are! But, you're not alone...shoes, if you know what you're buying, are worth a ton. A lot of times, a shoe will go up in value because..
#1--it's a first issue that's not getting retro'd
#2--it has sentimental value for certain people (as these did for me)
#3--some sort of significance (playoff color, USA edition, only ____ made)
I'll take a first issue Air Jordan 1, produced in 1985...only $65 back then, but since Jordan has become an Icon and the original models are basically impossible to find in deadstock (unlaced and unworn w/orig.box), you then end up with a price like this:

Crazy? yes....ridiculous? to some...does it make money? Definitely. Maybe 20% of the money to fix up my car comes from me dealing shoes on the side.
