Stop complaining? I'm sure there are better things cops can be doing than pull people over and give them tickets for, improper lights of all things. What a f*cking waste of manpower.

Broken taillights (even with a ghetto fix), as well as windshield washer lights are both illegal. Also, when a cop runs a NJ license plate the insurance information does not pop up, only the registration info.

Second, never reach for your insurance card, registration, license, etc, until the cop asks for it. The most dangerous situation for a cop to possibly be in is a roadside traffic stop. All he sees is you reaching into the glove compartment as he approaches the car. How is he supposed to know you're not reaching for a gun with intentions of shooting him in the chest when he gets to your window? He has no choice but to be firm to make sure he takes control of the situation. You should have gotten at least two tickets, improper lights and failure to show documents. You got off with one warning. Stop complaining.
Excuse me, i ain't complaining, but when i cop doesn't tell you why he pulled you over, than gives you a BS answer...thats what i have a problem with...As for the ghetto fix, hey buddy i was in an accident, they wouldn't sell that *ghetto* fix in stores if it wasn't a temporary fix. Also i KNOW that reaching for the glove compartment isn't a good idea, i think EVERYONE has seen cops on tv before. Sorry i freaked out, and hun, i've been pulled over before, i know the routine. Also, there was a police report of my accident, he can sure ask the dispatcher to pull up that info. which infact is what he did. I also know whats illegal and whats not...you have to understand i come from a ghetto town and the cops have way better **** to do than pull people over for illegal washer lights...but up in ritsy warren...cops have nothing better to do...that may show why all the times i have been pulled over have been in WARREN!! So i'm not complaining...just telling a story, take it which ever way you want.

hey if you have a valid registration that means you have valid INSURANCE.....they don't need to bring up both to know whether or not both are valid. You can't get a registration without insurance.

Gets me so mad though. I mean i had them way before anyone else really had them, and it wasn't noticed for the longest time. Now that all the ricers have jumped on the washer light waggon, i'm more of a target. I'm just going to get rid of them all together.

Good idea. I meant to suggest that earlier, but just for the de-ricing factor.

No it doesn't. It means you HAD valid insurance when you registered the car. It doesn't mean you still have it.
