Also i KNOW that reaching for the glove compartment isn't a good idea, i think EVERYONE has seen cops on tv before. Sorry i freaked out, and hun, i've been pulled over before, i know the routine. Also, there was a police report of my accident, he can sure ask the dispatcher to pull up that info. which infact is what he did. I also know whats illegal and whats not...you have to understand i come from a ghetto town and the cops have way better **** to do than pull people over for illegal washer lights...but up in ritsy warren...cops have nothing better to do...that may show why all the times i have been pulled over have been in WARREN!! So i'm not complaining...just telling a story, take it which ever way you want.
Yes, he should have been specific about why he pulled you over, I agree with you there.

However, I didn't know that Duct Tape was sold for the purpose of holding colored plastic over a taillight....that's really a new one for me.

No, I haven't been watching COPS on TV. I have two uncles and several friends that are cops so I'm pretty familiar familiar with how they work in the real everyday world. If you had family members out there that spent every day of their lives with the possiblity of getting shot on the job, you would probably agree with me.

No it doesn't. It means you HAD valid insurance when you registered the car. It doesn't mean you still have it.
Whatever the case....cops don't ask *license registration and insurance card* They just ask for license and registration. besides you have 24 hours to produce valid insurance information, so it woulda all been dropped! except for impoundment fee, Besides the cop looked my po-po accident report up with the dispatcher (Like i said) and thats why i got off with just a warning.

HELLO CALM yourself down.....

I was stopped by a cop once and I didn't have my insurance card on me and all I had was my registration card. the cop told me this exactly "If you have a valid registration card then you have valid insurance." so apparently in PA your registration card won't be renewed unless you have valid continuess insurance.

Every cop that's ever stopped me has asked for an insurance card....

If you re-read what i said....my father was kind enough to buy the LENS's for temporary cover of my tail lights..and used duct tape to stick them there. he didn't cover the tail lights with duct tape. Do you really think my father or i for that matter are stupid? becuase thats what you seem to be implying..

And if you want to name drop....my uncle is a retired Lieutenant of one of the Newark precincts. I know my **** too. Names Arty Corbly is your wondering....

Then you should know that you were lucky to get just a warning.
