My Night with the Cops....

OKay...so once again i got pulled over. Not even in my own f*cking town. Why is it evrey time i go over Pat's house i get pulled over!? So there i am, minding my own biz...i make a left up this hill called Mt. Bethal Rd...Pat goes *Holly careful there's a cop a car behind you* I'm thinking, well he can't pull me over cause i've done NOTHING wrong. My mistake, i make a right onto a road called Dobois, cop blairs his lights and sirens...so i freak out (as usual) tell Pat to grab my insurance card from the dash compartment....start getting out my info....when the cop comes running up the the passanger side, mind you my passanger side window doens't go down becuase i have a burnt motor and i have to get it fixed, so i politely tell the cop that the window does not roll down, Pat opens the door and the cop goes *why are you leaning over, what are you trying to hide?* So Pat and me both say at the same time, *getting the insurance card* So the cop yells at me *Don't give me an attitude, i'm not a ball buster blah blah blah* So i'm like holy f*cking mother of god, so he goes to pat, why is the floor mat pushed under neith the seat, * i don't know* so he makes Pat get outta the car, all in the while telling me (exact words) *You talk to much, be quiet* and of course...nothing in my car, by this time i am really freaking out becuase i don't have my insurance card on me, i took it out a couple weeks ago when i was in the accident, and i thought i left it at my house in the folder i made to hold all my accident information. So i just said *i do have insurance, if you run a report on my car you will see i gave the cop in my town my insurance card and i must have just never put it....* so the cop cuts me off *I know how to do my job, be quiet* And i'm thinkin, geez i'm just tring to explain!!! So Pat tells me to calm down and such....so he asks me why he thought he pulled me over, i said either my tail lights or the lights on the front of my car (i have those washer lights) and he never really gave me an answer but i tried to explain to him again that when i got pulled over last time it was for the wahser lights and that where i got them installed they threw out the original washers and i had to place an order with BMW themselves (Since BMW doesn't allow anyone to sell parts unless it BMW themselves) and how it takes forever to get them since my car is an older on and etc. so he just told us to sit tight and he ran my info. Came back and was really all Mr. I'm A Nice Cop ruiteen and was like blah blah do you think you got a ticket or a warning, i was like hopefully a warning, and he's like yeah, so i got anouther warning, and to top it all off, a BMW JUST like mine with a kit and exhaust flew by as he handed me the wanrning, and i was like awe hey there goes my car, and the cop goes * No that one is better/nicer than yours* I just bit my tounge....damn cops!!! I mean every time i'm in my town, i can freaking wave to the cops and they don't do jack crap to me, once i get into Pat's town...its like oh there goes that red bimmer again, lets pull her over....I told Pat im never going over his house ever again unless i leave before it gets dark....STUPID COPS!!!! But i decided that i just better off take the washers out, they are causing me way to much trouble...*shakes head* GRRRRRRRR

Ohhh and then the next day i went to lunch with Pat at Arby's...and low and behold what do i find in my wallet....my insurance card!

You know emily....i'm not really all that sure either...it was either becuase my tail lights are mis matching colors and ones cracked...or the washer lights...i have no clue...all the warning says is *Color of Lamps* So that could be ANYTHING!

Wait, so you're driving the bimmer now? What's up with your sig saying March 10th? I'm guessing your car is still driveable, just a little banged up.

uh.... if it was cracked or the washer headlights were illegal, I could see like a warning or a "sliding" ticket but that's it.... Mismatched lights???? that's retarded. But sounds like they just like to pick out any little problem....

For the most part PA wouldn't even bother to pull you over for any of that unless you were speeding or traffic violation then they'll nail you for anything else they possibly can.

IF something is illegal on your car PA is suppose to give you a sliding ticket, that way you can remove the illegal part take your car to them to prove it was removed from the car and that's it... no fine.

Oh yeah its drivable...its going in March 10th to get fixed. And the one day i do decide to drive it....guess what happends....a cop pulls me over!!! i try to avoid drving it accept to work (15 minutes if that) becuase the wheel well rubs sooo bad when i make right and left turns.

Em - my father was kind enough to go to some auto store to get those plastic sheets of tail light lens and cut them up and duct taped them to my car for me. The redish part of my break light it cracked, and my father was not going to rip it apart etc. But the colors don't match up to the right side of my tail lights...so i have no clue...

The cop was just bored and needed something to do....so he targeted me and well...gave him some fun, just gave me a headache!

WOW! That post is the longest run-on sentence EVER! Is anyone on this board a cop?

Broken taillights (even with a ghetto fix), as well as windshield washer lights are both illegal. Also, when a cop runs a NJ license plate the insurance information does not pop up, only the registration info.

Second, never reach for your insurance card, registration, license, etc, until the cop asks for it. The most dangerous situation for a cop to possibly be in is a roadside traffic stop. All he sees is you reaching into the glove compartment as he approaches the car. How is he supposed to know you're not reaching for a gun with intentions of shooting him in the chest when he gets to your window? He has no choice but to be firm to make sure he takes control of the situation. You should have gotten at least two tickets, improper lights and failure to show documents. You got off with one warning. Stop complaining.
