Default My trip to Saturn of Wichita west

I was out driving around with no where to go. I decided to stop by Saturn and see if they had the automatic version of the pedal covers being they already screwed me the first time.

The lady in the parts dept took my name and number address and all that stuff because they didnt have them on hand anymore. While I was there, I asked her about pricing on a 95 SOHC throttle body just for kicks.

She gets all offensive or something and says," Your like the 5th guy in with a SOHC car wanting them to go fast. Why dont you just go buy a DOHC?"

I find that kind of insulting. *shrugs*

If I'm not mistaken, a 95 SOHC pushes 100hp stock while a DOHC press 124. Sure its 24hp, but why get so snippy about it?

Then I told her I would be back after I get my engine from a "friend in FL".

Utahraptor,
I'd be pissed too if I got talked to like that. The first (and only, I might add) time I went to Saturn of Mobile, I got treated like I was a total idiot when the Service Manager told me that there was a bunch of stuff wrong with my car, such as there's only two bolts holding my alternator on (Last time I checked, there's only two bolt holes in the alternator), my brakes had less than 9 mm of pad left (Funny how they've never grinded, but it doesn't matter since I had those replaced just in case right after I got the car), and my valve cover was leaking (which was the ONLY thing wrong, in reality). To me, it's kinda funny that they told me all of this when I did the one thing that ANY smart shopper would do in buying a used car; have your OWN MECHANIC check it out before you buy! The ONLY way I would fore-go this procedure is if it was a TKT or any Saturn maintained by Joey

ShtNgit,
When you buy from Joey, you have nothing to fear He's a good guy to deal with and he won't dick you like some people will. He's saved a LOT of asses!

Yeah, I have heard that. Kinda weird that a company won't be making any of their engines.
