Default Mysql?

mysql3.secureserver.net

This is the kind of database my host has.

I'm trying to install phpbb on my server to make a forum but it says

"The PHP configuration on your server doesn't support the database type that you chose"

I have MYSQL 3.x as an option and it won't accept that either. My host is godaddy.com. Anybody have an idea as to what the problem is? I'm a newbie to his stuff.

Can that startlogic.com be legit? Doesn't that seem a little to good to be true? 40 gig of bandwidth and a 2000 mb webspace for 8 bucks a month plus free domain name and free set up? They also are loaded with other options you don't get for that price on some other websites.

Right now I already have a host, at least for this month. I might look into some of those others later though.

Right now I'm just trying to figure out how to put a message board on the mysql3 database thingy on my current one.

You also want to consider the speed of the server when choosing a host. The cheaper your get, usually the slower and less reliable they are.

I've tried all kinds of forums and tutorials and I can understand all that stuff like its in Japanese. Meaning I don't at all.

I'm not exactly sure why you are trying to create a table on that database..
