It is leaking near the front right wheel!!! Could it be the filter? Her oil was changed 2 days ago at a penzoil 10 minute "cheap" garage, and that's when it started to leak

yea thats where the filter is...slide under there and take a look..you'll see it
Grab it...give it a squeeze and turn it and make it as hand tight as possible...it'll prolly turn

yea the filter on top is tranmission..

That's it! That must be the auto tranny filter that her father is talking about. I told him the Oil Filter was probably only accessible from under the car.

Yep that is almost defintly the oil filter then.

I know for sure that on a 93 sl1 or any model equivelent to it, when you look directly below the battery and see a filter, its the tranny filter...the oil filter is on the passengers side behind the front tire,,when you go under the car, you have to slide way back by the oil pan to see it..its up by the cv boot. Mine was a ***** to get off the first time..whoever did it last tightened it really hard.

That and the fact that it usually says "auto" or transmission or something to that effect if it's a Saturn filter, would definately help dispel any rumors.

on my 97 sl1 with the sohc motor its on the pass. side on the backside of the engine.
