Anyways, Welcome aboard buddy, sorry to hear about the loss, but glad to see your baby back in your own hands. Def. get in touch with Joe via phone or email. Keep yourself tuned here to get more info on general fix ups and upgrades. If your gonna get a rebuilt from Joe, why not go ahead and get another SOHC engine with a Turbo built. That would be sweet, probably the first 3rd gen SOHC with a turbo. Anyways, keep yourself posted, and dont forget to get your head branded!
Whelan,
Dammit, we're not doing the head-brandings anymore after our brother Saturn-Owners got arrested for scaring people, remember?!?!? All new familymembers get the branding on the ass! Now Kieth, you have a choice... Left or right cheek?

lol

Josh
Uhm... Why can't I be different? My fiancee might get upset if I use either cheek. I think those are reserved for her name and the names of our children.

Ah, now i see how to do images. I'll post some photos.

Okay, here be some photos. Thank God for plastic body panels. It would be a mess if they were steel.

The wheel well is severely cracked, but all you can see is the hole. You guys don't want me to put up high detail photos.

Keith

Argh. I typo a lot, had to go back and edit this one.

Welcome to the Spot!! I am sorry to hear of your luck, although I don't really know how it feels to have the whole thing stolen I do know what it is like to have it beat to hell and the interior ripped up pretty good. I had my Satty broken into 3 times and backed into once this past december. After the last break-in I was like why didn't they just take the whole thing, but now that I am in the middle of putting it back together, I am like garage kept all the way.

Ah, if only I had a garage to keep it in. I swear, if I catch anyone trying to get in to it again, I'll shoot the SOB. I've never been so mad in my life. It's funny, too. I'd have understood having my dash torn up, but for some reason, these punks detailed my interior with pink fingernail polish instead! The painted all of the controls with it, as well as the shift knob, the embossed place in the steering wheel, and put little pink hearts on the window tint with it! GAH! Jerks!

Okay, time to take deep breaths.

Okay, time for more questions. I'd like to take care of my fluids. They're all nice and brown, now. The brakes I can handle. Where is the darn bleed vavle for the clutch, and how in the heck do I get my power steering system flushed out? The horrible alignment must have caused a lot of steering pump heat to build up, because this stuff is burnt beyond belief! Anyone care to tackle this one?

On the clutch - It is a sealed system and therefore you cannot bleed it, the clutch slave and master cyclinder are availiable from you local saturn retailer for the tune of about $300. As far as the power steering all I can say is that you could take off one of the lines to the pump and drain it that way, if there is a better way someone please chime in here for me.

SEALED?!?! What? There is no bleed valve anywhere in there? How the heck do you get air out of the system when you install a new slave and master cylinder? There has to be some way to change the fluid in it. If it has a cap and a marker showing what level the fuid should be it, I would presume there's a way to flush the system as well.

You gotta be kidding me. And I thought Saturns were easy to work on.

If is sealed, when you buy a new one it comes with fluid in it. I know because I broke mine doing a clutch and flywheel in my satty. If there is air in the system then you need to see if there is a leak in it because other than that Air should not get in there.

Argh! The fluid in there now is brown as can be. Why and how, I do not know. Looks to be the colour of motor oil. Before it was stolen it was clear. I gotta do something about it because contaminated or broken down fluid will only make the system fail prematurely. But, I for darn sure don't have 300 bucks to spend on it. The more I find wrong with this thing, the more I begin to suspect that an insurance company would declare it totaled.

How in the World do they get the fluid in to the assembly when they assemble it? Any ideas?

I have no idea on how they get the fluid in there but that is the way that it is. As far as the fluid color I would not worry bout it so much till later on. Just look to getting the steering straight and making it a little more road worthy. After you get the money e-mail joey and he will hook you up with everything that you need for it.
