Default Other possible carbon fiber ideas

Hey guys... here is just a thought I am going to give you. Later down the road if anyone wants a carbon fiber dash replacement, just let me know.

Right now I cannot do it, but it is possible. You can see one that I made recently at:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2401860397

Note the cost on that. It is honestly being sold at virtually my cost because I have no local buy and no need for the part anymore, so if you are interested expect about the same or more for a similar piece. A top dash piece would be in the $700-800 range.

have you ever thought about making replacement fiberglass Z3 fenders bolt on ready only paint needed? another idea is fiber glass hoods with scoops built into the mold I know CF is awesome but the price factor is alittle over budget maybe if you start with fiber glass it wil cut cost and price drasticly

What about carbon fiber shift boot trim. For example in the new civics, they have that metal trim around the shift boot, try making one like that for our cars in carbon fiber. Some people might like that. Or do a poll and ask about new ideas.

Another one would be carbon fiber A-pillars with the blended in gauge pods.

Juels95SW1Honestly... there are a couple reason I will more than likely not make some fiberglass Z3 fenders

1. The cost of the fiberglass fenders would be close to carbon fiber because of all the labor that is still into them
2. The fiberglass will weigh more that the existing panel and will crack and warp easy
3. No one will buy the carbon fiber version because no one seems to like the look of it and painting them is just defeating the purpose.

saturnd00dI think I know what you are talking about but I think someone proposed a metal version before and it was shot down on account of a couple reason but the main one being that is might hinder shifter (even though it would not). It is a good idea... and might try fiddling around w/ that later.
