| I smoked from 18-21. never got too addicted cause I started with Marlboro Reds, went to the Menthol Milds (I liked the blue box) then Lights. Occasionally I will have ONE at work if its a stressful night, but that is not a big deal. I basically stopped cold and havent bought a pack in almost a year. |

| My parents both stopped smoking. My dad quit cold turkey b/c he sat down one day and figured how much money he would have saved over the 45 years that he smoked, and just stopped like that.
My mom on the other hand couldn't quit easy. She tried every single thing out there. One day she saw an ad in the paper for hypnotism. I kid you not. She has stopped now for 12 years, and the best part of it though, is she can be chillin' with a bunch of people who smoke, and she won't even be tempted to start again, or even have one puff.
If you were to try something d00d, try hypnotism, as it has helped my mom so much, and its no medication involved. Can't hurt to try.

| Hmmmm, I should stop smoking. I only smoke two or three cigs a day. But I party too much, it's hard to not smoke when you drink. Besides, we all have to die sometime. My hole opinion is...Live life to the fullest. Eat drink and be merry. So what if I get cancer at 40-50-60. I had one hell of a time getting there. Plus, who the hell wants to get old and fall apart any way. |

| Dude, get a little closer to 40 and see if you still feel that way. I never thought I'd make it to my 30th birthday, and I subconsciously did everything in my power not to make it. Now I'm 35 and life is more precious than I ever imagined it could be.
Y'know what pisses me off. I didn't start smoking until I was around 24. That was the year that, (after 16 years of incredibly great skateboarding) my right knee gave out. I figured at that point "Why bother? You can't skate no more. You may as well give up."
Well, I don't skate anymore, but I'll play drums in circles around any of ya.

Or smoke Newports, which have fiberglass inside them.

| I wish you guys all the best in quitting. It's only gonna get more inconvenient to smoke anyways in the public, with all the anti-smoking y-laws. Is it really worth it? I personally don't think so. Try to find another way to deal with stressful situations and you'll realize smoking is just a huge waste of time, money and health.

| marlboro red are some strong stuff lemme tell ya. my parents smoke that and i swear i can't breathe when they smoke in the house. my dad drives a tanker truck and smoke....go figure....my mom is a bus driver and she smokes too when the kids arent around, but still all i can say is that reds are one strong cig and if you ARE gonna smoke ive heard smoke them bc nobody wants to bum cigs off ya then.
antismoking laws i think are kinda stupid and i dont smoke. i mean cmon its your life you wasting and when you are outside i think you should be allowed to smoke anyplace. i mean malls are 100% no smoking areas even outside and school parking lots i think that you should be able to smoke outside. when my parents went to high school back in the 70's they went to the same high school i went to and they said that they even had a senior lounge AND a smoking lounge. now if you get caught smoking on school grounds(unless you are in your car with the windows rolled up) you get a fine.

| Guys,
I know I'm probably gonna take some flak over this, but my angle is this... Smokers have right too. Myself, I quit smoking a year or two ago, and it's been great ever since, but when I see people treating smokers like Lepers (sp?), it burns me up. If a person wants to smoke, let them! Granted, I do believe that it's a disgusting habit now, I'm not going to turn my nose up at someone for doing it.
